Trotter
Acrylic painting on canvas. 70x140cm.
So the reflections of the stormy sea were born in the imagination. With endless splashes, waves and signs of a storm. Everything had a smell of abstraction. And so it did.
When imagining the sea, we usually think of the horizon, so the painting was in a horizontal position. However, due to the lack of space in the house at that time, my artworks often traveled from the kitchen dining table to the corner of the guest room. And there they were already arranged in such a way that guests had a chance to put their foot down also😅
One day I had guests. A very nice couple of friends visited us and insisted on seeing the paintings I had painted. I took them to that small room with little lighting, and there in the first row of stacked paintings stands “Stormy Sea” in a vertical position. And my the man says: “I see a horse here!” After a little closer inspection, Aleksandra (his wife ) and I also began to see the horse’s head and some body contours!
Well, all that remained was to change my personal perspective and slightly highlight the outlines of the abstract horse, which shone in the painting even in the dark, but I simply did not see it.🫠
So that I am incredibly grateful to the curiosity of my friends, without whom I might not have seen this trotter🐎, which not only I, but also countless people, loved so much.
It brought a lot of comfort, wonderful emotions and interesting conversations to my home. And it also strengthened my sense of self-confidence. So this painting means much more than just a canvas on a frame and a bunch of splashed colors. This is an endless process that I enjoy, share and am happy to be able to share🥰 and send on with great love and respect.
