Horns With Pearls
A gift I created for a long time for a dear friend. The story is both simple and not very. 😅
The background was created in two takes (I would say quite quickly) – it looked perfect. And I sent it to my friend to show. She said it looked unreal, although I don’t even know what will be there yet, but I already like it! 😍
And one morning, pink rays with horns appeared in my mind (maybe because my friend has character. In a good way). 😈😇 The most interesting thing is that usually the images in my head are very different from the final result on the canvas. But not this time. This time I was lucky to convey it exactly as I imagined. And what do you think, my most loyal art critic comes back after work and stares at that painting with his ”ounce” raised. Silent. It immediately became clear that I didn’t hit the 10-point mark. He looked at the scale again and I understand that a person has nothing good to say, which is why he is silent. Well, I think that’s all, I’ve been drawing for a year and I’ve still got my bearings. 😞
Then it was my second art critic’s turn – my mom. She’s like all moms. She always thinks it’s beautiful. 😅 Well, she just says I don’t really understand the idea. The horns are beautiful, they look glass, but what are they doing there? (I guess my husband thought the same thing). 🤔 And what should I do now?! I’ve ”cleaned up” some nonsense here, I don’t understand it myself, but in my imagination the horns appeared… And what do I do in that case? I put the canvas in the room designated for them (according to my husband, I have 2 rooms), but in fact my art has a separate room. And that poor painting sits there for half a year (as if time wouldn’t breathe on my back anyway…).🙄🤯😒
And what happens then?
I like it when paintings come in dreams. Among the pink rays, beautiful pearls sprout, shining, sparkling, just a fairy tale.
You can imagine how difficult it was for a person who does not know how to play with shadows super well to paint pearls… Finally, it seems to have succeeded. 🙏
So what’s the point of all this? The final version – I have a wonderful, expressive background (in which, by the way, more than one face and even a kitten are hiding), horns and pearls. And what should I do with all this?! – Show it to my friend, who is just as “sneaky” as I am. Everything seemed perfect and harmonious to her!!!🥰
I would like to say a toast. Here’s to us, Austut, a woman with an endless imagination!🥂😌😁
