About

Rasa Reičiūnaitė-Sadovska (Rasa Sad)is a self-trained artist-painter.

Rasa was born in 1993 in Šiauliai, Lithuania where she discovered her passion for drawing at a very young age. She attended multiple competitions at school and one of the first ones was at the age of eleven, where Rasa entered a contest ‘I want to live’ with a watercolour painted rooster with sticks instead of legs.😊 During her teenage years, Rasa became quite distant from painting as she dedicated all her time to studies.

Story

In 2012 Rasa graduated from school and started her Diagnostic of Biomedicine degree in Vilnius. After completion of her studies Rasa started working in hospitality and kept painting only as a hobby and a method of relaxation. She gained more confidence with the brush and learnt various new techniques of painting. However, busy and noisy city center life hasn’t allowed Rasa to fully express herself on canvas.

The big breakthrough happened in 2018 when she decided to change her lifestyle and move to a small town near Oslo, Norway. Surrounded by peaceful nature, beautiful lakes and breathtaking scenery she felt passion to put those landscapes and new feelings into her art.

My Story

She loves discovering new painting techniques and styles, she never stops experimenting. Rasa believes that frames should be placed on paintings – not on artists. Although she hasn’t finished any art degree, she believes her passion and the willingness to express her thoughts and feelings though the brush on an empty canvas is something special and unique.

Rasa Sad at the moment is studying Art Therapy and metods in Oslo private schoold that has a contract with university in Switzerland. So after few years she will get a Master degree in Switzerland.

Rasa Sad is actively seeking to find a space to display her work and get to share her passion with other people. She already managed to get space to participate in some art fairs. The most successful was in December 2020, where she managed to sell a few pieces and introduce herself to a variety of people and fellow artists. As a self taught painter that is trying to turn her hobby into a full time job, Rasa finds nothing more satisfying than people wanting to display her work in their homes
